Lantau Development Alliance

About us

The Lantau Development Alliance was established in 2012 by multiple Lantau-based enterprises and regional organizations, including AsiaWorld-Expo, Hong Kong Disneyland, Ngong Ping 360, Hong Kong Resort Company, China Travel Ship Management, Hong Kong Heritage Conservation Foundation, Lantau Island Parent-Teacher Association Federation, and Sunshine Social Enterprise. Later, other institutional members who joined the board of directors included Kwoon Chung Bus Holdings and Hong Kong China Travel Service Automotive. Other members of the alliance mainly come from the hotel, tourism, property management, and service industries.

Target

To promote the sustainable development of Lantau as a major tourism and transport hub in the Greater Bay Area.

 

Mission

•⁠  ⁠Promote tourism, MICE and leisure activities on Lantau

•⁠  ⁠Provide platform of collaboration for Lantau tourism stakeholders and businesses

•⁠  ⁠Strengthen bonds between businesses and local communities

•⁠  ⁠Oversee development of bridgehead economy and Tung Chung new town

•⁠  ⁠Advise on tourism and transport infrastructure planning on Lantau

•⁠  ⁠Support local employment

Member organization

Lantau Development Alliance (LaDA) was founded by enterprises and local groups on Lantau, including AsiaWorld-Expo, Hong Kong Disneyland, Ngong Ping 360, Hong Kong Resort, Shun Tak-China Travel Ship, Hong Kong Heritage Conservation Foundation, Federation of Parent Teacher Associations of Islands District, and Sunny Social Enterprise; Kwoon Chung Bus Holdings also joined the board recently. A number of other enterprises and groups have also joined LaDA, including those from the hotel, tourism and retail industries.
